Scheduler / Assistant

When the human genome was first sequenced more than a decade ago, many thought it would usher in a new age of personalized therapies to treat cancer and many other diseases.  

But, even as genomic sequencing has become less expensive and more widely available, cancer patients are treated in much the same way today as they were decades ago -- in large part because there isn’t enough data to help scientists find clinically relevant patterns.  Here at Tempus, we are on a mission to bring big data and technology together to improve cancer care and give oncologists the tools they need to personalize treatments for their patients.

We are looking for a highly organized, experienced Scheduler / Assistant to plan, schedule and execute travel for our CEO and Operations Teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule and execute private travel for CEO and Operations team including air travel, ground transportation, hotel, food, and coordination with meeting hosts, among others.  
  • Organize and manage CEO's business and personal calendar 
  • Main point of contact between CEO's office, Hospitals, Universities, and other organizations working with Tempus
  • Provide support and assistance to CEO and Operations Team while traveling


  • Organized individual who can work in fast pace environment with excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task 
  • At least 3+ years experience as a personal assistant, or in experience in the hospitality, scheduling or planning fields
  • Fast learner with great communication skills
